NAFB Webinar

Media Relations &
Trade Talk Tips

Thursday, October 8

10 am Central

Free and open to all NAFB members

Sharpen your media relations skills and learn how to get the most out of Trade Talk from experienced farm broadcasters and PR pros. In this webinar, we will dive into navigating Trade Talk, the centerpiece event of NAFB Convention that connects broadcasters with ag industry members for media interviews and networking.

Gain tips from the pros — broadcasters who have worked Trade Talk for many years, and PR professionals who successfully bring their spokespersons for a day of media interviews at the event. We will also cover media tips to help you boost your earned media coverage throughout the year. There will be plenty of time for Q&A during this interactive webinar.

This members-only webinar will feature:

  • Susan Littlefield, farm broadcaster, Farm & Ranch Media (moderator)
  • Lorrie Boyer, farm director, KSIR Radio
  • Dustin Hoffmann, supervising editor & farm broadcaster, Iowa Agribusiness Ag Network
  • Joe Schuele, senior VP, Communications, U.S. Meat Export Federation
  • Chase Kusel, director of communications, National Farmers Union

NAFB Foundation Auction

With a simple click of the pen, a raising of a hand, or donating an item to the NAFB Foundation Auction, the ag community can make an investment in future ag broadcasters and communicators.

Since 1977, the Foundation Auction has been instrumental in supporting the ever-growing scholarship program. The auction is one of the highlights of NAFB Convention each November, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the NAFB Foundation.

How can you help? We have three easy ways for you to be a part of this event.

  1. Browse the Silent Auction items and place your bids on the many fantastic items that have been donated. The Silent Auction will be open at Convention from 8 am-4 pm on Wednesday, November 18 and 9 am-3 pm on Thursday, November 19.
  2. Make plans now to attend the Live Auction and Reception at Convention on Thursday, November 19 from 5:45-7:00 pm. You can place bids on the silent auction items, plus join the live bidding.
  3. Donation items are always appreciated. Please click here to make an item contribution for the NAFB Foundation Auction. If you have any questions, please contact the NAFB office at 816-431-4032, ext. 100.
