Introducing Our New Shop Manager

We’re pleased to introduce Paul, our new Shop Manager at Federal Screen who recently joined the company bringing 20 years of manufacturing and engineering experience. Growing up in the fluid and steam industry, he has extensive knowledge of manufacturing and quality control for pressure valves, pressure piping as well as heat exchanger packages. With a practical understanding of fabrication and the entire process, Paul is here to take the company to the next level and build more efficiencies. His goal is to set up our shop to expand into other product capabilities while improving our fabrication methods to reduce delivery times and costs. Paul is also very active and has a love for martial arts since he was a young child. He competed and learned different styles of martial arts which allowed him to be exposed to many different cultures. We’re happy that Paul is part of the FSP family and for the wealth of expertise he will bring to our shop floor.

Custom Flat Framed Panels for Drying Beds

Thank you to Grand River Construction for sending us this picture of horizontal and vertical wedge wire screens that we manufactured for them for the City of Lansing Drying Beds project. We worked with them on this custom job to fabricate flat panels for a Wastewater Treatment Plant Drying Bed. Wedge wire panels are ideal in this type of application as they offer a higher percentage of open area and, therefore, a lower head loss, which helps to increase efficiency, with a smaller footprint. Meeting their drawing requirements and exact specifications, panels were constructed with 304L stainless steel which ensures a long lifespan.

Celebrating Milestones

Recently we celebrated the workplace anniversary for two of our shop employees who have now been with Federal Screen for 10 years! Congrats to both Francis and Chen for reaching this amazing milestone. Rewarded with some special gifts by our President Vito, our employees are like family to us and we could not be more proud of the commitment our team demonstrates each and every day.
