"Out of Many, One" kicking off now!

Out of Many, One (OMO), a signature project of America's 250th in Washington State, is a coordinated statewide exploration of the American experience through objects, images, and artworks jointly exhibited in Washington museums. It invites Washingtonians to explore the variety of American experiences and how that variety reflects our communities around the state.

We're kicking off OMO this month with a new page on our website inviting all Washington museums to participate! If you are a partner who is not a museum, reach out to to your various local museums about collaborating on the project by providing publicity, community engagement support, or maybe public display space

Visit the website to learn more. Tools, templates, and ideas are available to help you fully engage your community in the project, and more will be coming soon!

The team at the Moses Lake Museum and Art Center (Grant County) have created an outreach board with their five artifacts for the OMO Project. They will take the board to various public events including the local Farmers' Market and the Grant County Fair to help raise public awareness.

Announcing a free, print-on-demand historical panel exhibition coming soon

Washington is collaborating with eight western states to bring to life a print-on-demand exhibition titled Moments That Made US which will be made available to partners.

The exhibition will explore the ideals at the heart of the Declaration of Independence through moments in our history that have defined their meaning. It does so in a user-friendly format that any organization can adapt, afford, and make their own.

Exhibit Themes

  • Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
  • Consent of the Governed
  • Created Equal
  • Free and Independent States
  • We Mutually Pledge to Each Other our Lives, our Fortunes and our Sacred Honor

This exhibit will be FREE and is designed to ensure every partner has access to compelling 250 content. It will feature ready-to-use panels that can be expanded with additional customized panels, which are optional.

The ready-to-use panels will be perfect for museums, archives, libraries, cultural centers, community centers, municipal buildings, and schools. Another great option is to install the exhibition panels at large public events during 2026 such as county fairs or community festivals.

More information coming soon!
