Dear Vacaville Christian School Community,
As we journey through another transformative year at VCS, we are reminded of the profound impact our faith-centered education has on our students, families, and staff. We have much to celebrate, with many joyful moments and accomplishments filling our hearts with gratitude. Let's continue to unite in our mission of raising faithful and academically excellent leaders for God's kingdom.
Next week, our middle school students will embark on an eagerly anticipated retreat to Koinonia Conference Grounds. This retreat promises to be a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth, self-reflection, and team bonding for our entire middle school. We are excited and thankful for the blessings of this upcoming journey. Importantly, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated counselors—including staff, faculty, and parents—whose commitment ensures this will be an unforgettable and spiritually enriching experience for all participants.
In addition to celebrating our active student life, let's take a moment to reflect on the foundations of our educational program. At VCS, we believe two realities hold true:
- The preschool–12th grade faculty and staff are the foundation of our school, and their commitment is what makes a VCS education distinctive.
- We ask our VCS staff to do more…with less.
With these essential truths in mind, I extend an invitation to each one of you to engage actively in a vital mission: to make Vacaville Christian Schools the most amazing place for our faculty and staff to live out their calling. This mission can be achieved through sincere and consistent expressions of encouragement, appreciation, and gratitude.
Why is Appreciation Important? And How Can I Help?
By taking the time to acknowledge and appreciate our faculty and staff sincerely, we will see retention and morale soar. This is not just a kind gesture; it is a necessary action that underscores the value we place on those who mold the minds and spirits of our children. I encourage you to read the blog post below, "VCS – Envisioning A Culture of Encouragement, Appreciation, and Gratitude," to learn how you can be a part of this transformative culture. Join us in putting these principles into practice at VCS!
A Head of School Blog Post: VCS – Envisioning A Culture of Encouragement, Appreciation, and Gratitude
As we conclude, let us remember the words of 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." May we continue to build a community filled with joy, reflection, and gratitude for the incredible work being done here at VCS.
In His Service,
Ben Davis
