Another year of Camp SOAR is in the books!

Over two weeks in July, Camp SOAR welcomed 85 campers supported by 120 counselors, leaders, and staff. We are so grateful to all of our volunteers and donors who make these two magical weeks possible for children and youth with developmental disabilities.

Because of your support, campers enjoyed favorite activities, including swimming, campfire karaoke, slip n' slide fun, a petting zoo, the Kindness Show, the all camp talent show, a magic show, an ice cream party, carnival games, the fire truck visit... and more! A highlight of camp this year was when a graduate camper came back to lead campfire songs.

Thank you to Wendy and Scott Ptolemy of 50pies.com for making Camp SOAR a stop on their mission to bake 50 pies in all 50 states to create community connection.

They baked pizza for counselors on check-in day, and also made an appearance as Super Soar and Wonder Wind for campers!

A former Camp SOAR parent presented during counselor training about the parent perspective on the check-in process. The presentation was excellent for counselors as they prepared to welcome campers. The parent shared that Camp SOAR was like "Christmas in July" for their family during their camp years. Providing respite to parents continues to be an important part of camp's mission.

EVERY camper's experience is supported by donations, grants, and volunteer hours to make camp affordable. An important part of our annual fundraising for Camp SOAR is CRT's Heroes of Our Hearts Gala. This year at the Gala on November 9, we will be celebrating camp's 25th anniversary!
