WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

This Women's History Month, Music Haven celebrates the dedication, resilience, and artistry of the women in music. From Hildegard, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Florence Price to Caroline Shaw, Jessie Montgomery, and Angélica Negrón, women have pushed the boundaries of classical music—composing, performing, and innovating despite the challenges of their time. We also honor the contributions of all the Women in the Music Haven community who continue to champion the next generation of musicians!

In one, twin violins whispered amongst themselves, unbothered as cello came in beneath them. One called out in the open space, a cry at the edge of its voice. The other responded, gliding through the same notes.
