CONGO WEEK XV
October 14 - 31, 2022

This year marks the fifteenth annual presentation of Congo Week and the fourteenth presentation of Congo in Harlem. Congo Week is a global teach-in that aims to raise worldwide consciousness about the challenges and triumphs of the sons and daughters of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This year's events are particularly significant because Congolese from across the country will share the remarkable work being done to address the incredible challenges they face in diverse sectors:
  • Climate justice
  • Resource exploitation
  • Congo Basin preservation
  • Alternative ecology
  • Peace and Security
  • Women in Agriculture
  • Youth Movements
  • Music and art as a form of resistance and change

The above is a glimpse of the topics that will be discussed. The Congo in Harlem films and events series will also showcase the diverse and rich work of Congolese filmmakers. The forums and films will be accessible virtually from October 14 - 31.

Please register for a forum, sign up to watch a film for free and remember to make a donation to support the organizing of Congo Week! Use #CongoWeek to share your Congo Week experience.
