Faithful Stewardship

Faithful Stewardship is always about more than just money, but never less than that.

“Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom….From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required, and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.” – Luke 12:32, 12:48

More Than We Could Ask or Imagine

2027 Stewardship Campaign

Stewardship season is upon us, and we invite you to make your 2027 pledge today. Pledges of all sizes from tens to thousands will be dedicated to the service of Christ on October 4. Please note that all new pledges will be matched by a special church donor.

Many Ways to Pledge

  • Visit scapc.org/pledge to make your 2027 pledge. If you wish, you can establish monthly recurring payments.
  • Fill out the pledge card you receive this week in the mail (reply to this email if you do not receive yours) or fill out a card in the pews on Sunday.
  • On the SCAPC app homescreen, tap the "Pledge" tile.
  • Contact your bank to inquire about automatic check disbursement in which they send checks automatically to the church in the time frame you specify.
  • Make your Stewardship donation by transferring stock to the church. Contact Emily Fleshman, Accountant, at 504-897-0101 x213 or emily@scapc.org.
  • Members over the age of 70 may consider contributing directly from their IRA’s. At present, in many cases, these donations can be made without incurring taxes. For more information, click here.

Come Celebrate Steven This Sunday!

This Sunday, September 27, we will celebrate a remarkable 40 years of dedication and outstanding service by our Director of Music and Organist Steven Blackmon! Join us for special music and recognition during our 10:30 service. Following the service in Frampton Fellowship Hall, we will enjoy a reception in Steven's honor with delightful tributes, delicious treats, special guests, and ditties.

Congregational Care Pantry Drive

Help us stock our freezer with meals for those in our congregation needing some extra care! Pick up an empty container this Sunday morning in Frampton Fellowship Hall. Fill the container with your favorite casserole or soup during the week, then return your filled container to the church freezer on a weekday or the following Sunday, October 4. Please clearly label your container with its contents and date. We will have recipes available if you need them.

Fall Day of Service: October 3

On Saturday, October 3, people of all ages and abilities can find projects to join in as we serve our local and global partners. Projects will take place both at the church and out in the community. We will begin the morning with breakfast and prayer at 8:30 a.m. in Frampton Fellowship Hall before dispersing to our various worksites. Most projects will wrap up by noon (if not sooner). Sign-ups and project details can be found at scapc.org/volunteer or on the SCAPC app volunteer tab. You can also sign up following worship in Frampton Fellowship Hall this Sunday. Email Jonell Quinton at missjonell@hotmail.com with any questions.
