Join The Glenora Harvest Market

This Saturday!

Mark your calendars! The Glenora Harvest Market is happening this Saturday, September 19 from 10 AM–4 PM at the Glenora Community League.

Celebrate Community League Days with us at a cozy fall market filled with talented local vendors, handmade treasures, seasonal treats, and plenty of community spirit. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop small, connect with neighbours, and enjoy the harvest season right here in Glenora.

Admission is free, so bring the whole family and spend the day shopping local and celebrating our community.

If you’re looking for more ways to stay connected and involved, we’d love to see you at our monthly Community League Board meetings. The next GCL meeting is on October 104h at 7:00 pm in the Community League art room.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month and are open to all community members. It’s a great opportunity to meet neighbours, share ideas, and be part of shaping what makes Glenora such a special place to live.

And if there is anything else you think should be included in our newsletters, please let us know at communications@glenoracl.com

Glenora Casino Volunteers Needed!

Our Glenora Community League Casino is coming up November 5 & 6 at Yellowhead Casino, and we need volunteers!

This is one of our most important fundraisers, bringing in approximately $75,000–$80,000 in much-needed funding for our community. Because we only qualify for a casino once every two years, filling our volunteer positions is essential to making the most of this opportunity.

No experience is required. Volunteers will be trained for every position, so all you need to do is show up and lend a hand.

These funds help us continue investing in the programs, facilities, events, and initiatives that make Glenora a great place to live.

Please consider signing up for a shift and helping us make this important fundraiser a success.

Westminster School Birthday

Established in 1951, Westminster School is celebrating 75 years in our community!

Glenora residents are invited to join the Westminster Parent Council on September 23 from 4:00–6:00 PM at Westminster School to celebrate this milestone.

Stop by to explore the school’s historical archives and new gathering space, and enjoy food trucks, games, door prizes and, of course, birthday cake.

Glenora Men's Hockey

Monday Night Hockey is back this October!

The Glenora group is looking to add players to both its full-time roster and spare list. All skill levels are welcome, from guys who played at a high level to those who definitely didn’t.

The goal isn’t to take hockey too seriously. It’s a chance to get on the ice, have some fun and get to know other dads and neighbours in the community.

Players must be Glenora Community League members to participate and be insured.

Interested in joining? Contact Ryan Orchard for more information.

Glenora Men's Night

Looking to meet more people in the neighbourhood or reconnect with neighbours you haven’t seen in a while?

Glenora Men’s Night takes place on the first Thursday of every month at Original Joe’s (125th street location), starting at 8 PM. It’s a casual night out for guys in the neighbourhood to catch up, meet some of the other dads and chat about what’s happening in and around Glenora.

Whether you’re new to the community or have lived here for years, come by and join the conversation.

GCL Community Redevelopment Fundraising

The Edmonton Public Library is hosting two upcoming programs with Lise Villeneuve: Emotional Resilience for Teens and Mindfulness for Adults.

Both programs focus on practical tools for emotional awareness, resilience and self-regulation that can support stronger relationships, families and communities.

Community Access Scholarships are now available for both programs, including a limited number of fully funded spaces, helping make them accessible to more Edmontonians.

If you or someone you know could benefit, learn more about the programs and available scholarships through the program links below.

Edmonton Infill Action Campaign

The Edmonton Infill Action Campaign is a grassroots, non-partisan advocacy initiative raising concerns about the impact of infill development on Edmonton’s mature neighbourhoods.

The campaign is asking residents who share its concerns to add their voices through letters to elected officials at multiple levels of government, calling for changes related to oversight, infrastructure, public safety and development regulations.

Glenora residents who are interested in the initiative can review the campaign’s concerns, proposed actions and letters before deciding whether they would like to participate or share their input with government.
