Lobsterfest Sunday with ONE MORNING Eucharist

Lobsterfest Sunday, is THIS SUNDAY, Nov. 9th!

One morning Eucharist only at 10 AM, followed by Parish Dinner!

The Sunday following Lobsterfest has been declared "Lobsterfest Sunday" here at St. Thomas. It is a time to come together and offer thanks after the hard work of a successful Lobsterfest, as well as to worship together and to enjoy fellowship!

This year, we will again have only ONE MORNING EUCHARIST at 10:00 a.m. this Lobsterfest Sunday. Immediately following our worship together, we will gather as a church family in the Parish Hall for a special Lobsterfest Sunday Parish Dinner.

ALSO THIS SUNDAY, in observance of Veterans Day, we encourage all Veterans who would like to do so to dress in their military uniforms. We will take time during the Peace to honor those among us who have served and ask them to stand and come forward as we offer a prayer in honor and recognition of their contribution and service to our nation.

There will be a second opportunity to worship this Sunday at the 5pm 'Come as you are' Holy Eucharist.

St. Thomas 2026 Stewardship

PLEASE SEND IN YOUR PLEDGE CARD TODAY!

Deadline to Pledge is Extended

to November 16

As we enter the final week of our Tell Out My Soul stewardship journey, we are invited to reflect on how generously God has blessed this parish and each of us who call St. Thomas home. When we offer our time, our abilities, and our resources, we magnify God’s goodness in a world that needs compassion, beauty, and hope.

Your pledges make real ministry possible: our worship, the formation of our children and youth, outreach to our community, pastoral care, music, fellowship, and the daily life of this sacred space. Every gift—large or small—is an act of thanksgiving, echoing Mary’s song: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord.”

We are grateful for those who have already returned their pledge cards, and we encourage those still discerning to prayerfully consider how God is calling you to respond. Your faithful commitment allows us to plan responsibly and strongly for the year ahead.

Let us continue to tell out our souls by giving with joy, gratitude, and trust in the God who has first given us everything.

Thank you for all you do in Christ’s name.

Faithfully,

David Hattaway

Stewardship Chairman

Little Free Pantry — Increased Need

Help Support our Community

Donate to the Little Free Pantry

Our church’s Little Free Pantry continues to be a meaningful way we support our neighbors.

Beginning November 1, SNAP benefits will be reduced across the state. For many families already struggling, this change will mean even tighter food budgets. We expect greater demand for our pantry in the coming weeks.

We are asking the congregation to help us increase our food donations. When you’re able, please consider adding a few extra non-perishable items to your grocery list—such as canned vegetables, soup, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and other shelf-stable staples. Financial gifts designated for the pantry are also welcome.

Thank you for helping us continue to care for our community with compassion and love.

UPCOMING

Book Study Concludes NEXT Sunday, November 16

Sunday morning Book Study with Fr. Donavan Resumes Sunday, November 16

Fr. Donavan's book study on Supernatural, by Michael S. Heiser is on break for Lobsterfest Sunday and will return with a discussion of the final chapters of the book NEXT Sunday, November 16 in Conference Room 1. This book takes on the strange and sometimes avoided passages of the Old and New Testament. It isn't that these passages from the Bible are avoided or passed over by preachers because they about hot-button issues or hard to understand, they are avoided because they are about the supernatural and what Heiser refers to as "the unseen world." Find out what the Bible actually has to tell us about the strange and the supernatural, and how what the Bible has to say about the "unseen world" actually matters today for our world and our deeper understanding of our faith.

The audio version of the book Supernatural can be checked out through the online Huntsville Public Library App Hoopla, or you can purchase a Kindle version of the book through Amazon for only $5.99.

Join Fr. Donavan NEXT SUNDAY at 9:30 AM in Conference Rm. 1!
