SPS launches 417 Reads across Springfield 📚

Today, more than 140 mentors launched 417 Reads by reading aloud to third and fourth grade students across the district.

I Choose SPS: Brad Carey, Custodian at Phelps

"I was the head custodian at Delaware Elementary and filled in the night shift over at Phelps sometimes. When the head custodian retired from Phelps, I put in for the position because I was looking for a smaller building to work in. This was a perfect opportunity for me. I am very fortunate to get this position.

Custodians are important because we keep schools clean, maintained and safe so kids can learn and grow."
