March 1 - tax info is due to our office for Individuals, single-member LLCs, C-corporations, and Trusts for the April 15 filing deadline

March 17 - filing deadline for November year-end C-corporations, multi-member LLCs, Partnerships, and S-corporations

SAFESEND PORTALS

Remember to Confirm Complete when you have finished filling out the Organizer and uploading your documents. If you are not finished, choose Save and Close to go back into it and continue.

Filling out the Organizer does not automatically create your SafeSend Client Portal. You can create a new Client Portal in a couple of ways: use the green hyperlink in any 2025 email signature from your Tax Manager, or use the link on any SafeSend notification to Access Client Portal.

You will then receive a link to Log in to your account, where you will click the Sign Up link to create a portal (instead of entering your email and clicking Continue). Then you will enter your Name and Email, and click Verify your email. An access code is sent to this email, which you will copy and enter, then click Confirm. You will then Create your PIN to access your client portal in the future on a different device. Click Create Account, and then you will be taken to the Log in process for your portal. Once logged in, you will see your landing page where you can review recent activity, pending tasks, completed tasks, firm contact information, and notifications.

CO AND BOI UPDATES

CO Filing - the latest update is that Colorado has started processing returns from third-party services, such as TurboTax, but not on their own Revenue Online portal, and not yet for us tax preparers. Maybe by next week? In other news, CO has announced a new online resource where taxpayers can learn more about tax credits: Tax.Colorado.gov/SaveMoney.

The BOI Deadline Saga continues....On February 18, a U.S. District Court in Texas lifted the nationwide injunction in the Smith vs. U.S. Department of The Treasury case, and the beneficial ownership information (BOI) reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) are once again in effect! For the vast majority of reporting companies, the new deadline to file an initial, updated, and/or corrected BOI report is now March 21, 2025. HOWEVER, FinCEN, over the next 30-day period, will assess its options to further modify deadlines or reporting requirements. Stand by for further updates!

Our office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.

We will be open on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM through April 12.
