NPR special coverage plan: confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson President Biden has nominated Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court, and if confirmed, she would be the first Black woman to sit on the nation's highest court. NPR News will provide live special coverage of the Senate confirmation hearings beginning Monday, March 21 around 2 p.m. through sometime Wednesday. Stay tuned for exact times, and as with all breaking news coverage, plans are subject to change at a moment's notice.

Awards honor KGOU professionals and students Reporting heard on KGOU has been honored with journalism awards from a couple of organizations: The Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters recognized Robby Korth's story about school cafeterias navigating supply chain issues in the Feature category of its annual Outstanding Achievement Awards. And the Broadcast Education Association awarded first-place honors to Ryan Gaylor and Beth Wallis for reporting they did for KGOU as students at the University of Oklahoma. Ryan's hard news entry also was named Best of Festival in the BEA's Festival of Media Arts contest. Congratulations, all! Winning stories

KGOU Readers Club: Live discussion of 'This Land Is Herland' The Readers Club selection for March focuses on women's history -- specifically Oklahoma women's history. This Land Is Herland: Gendered Activism in Oklahoma from the 1870s to the 2010s is a compilation of essays about 13 women who have had a hand in making the state what it is today.
