Animal Industry Meeting at World Pork Expo Highlights FAD Preparedness for Feed Sector

AAI members and feed industry leaders came together to boost readiness for foreign animal diseases like African Swine Fever and Foot and Mouth Disease at the World Pork Expo on Thursday.

Experts walked through what to expect in the first 72 hours of an outbreak, and how it could impact feed manufacturing, delivery, and the broader supply chain. Attendees left with real-world strategies to strengthen biosecurity and protect Iowa’s livestock industry.

Thanks to Iowa Pork Producers Association, National Pork Producers Council, and Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship for partnering with us to host this event.
