Tim Leet Learning Meadow photo

A new learning meadow near the entrance to Columbus Academy’s campus is being named in honor of the late Tim Leet, a beloved faculty member who passed away in late May after a five-month battle with cancer.

In his lessons on ethics and character, Tim encouraged the kind of self-reflection and contemplation that the meadow is designed to inspire.

“Tim embodied the mission of our school,” stated Assistant Head of School for Community Life Pascal Losambe, who was one of the speakers at Tim’s celebration of life ceremony this past Sunday. “His legacy will continue through the kindness, intentionality, wisdom, humor and care he inspired in others.”

The event’s heartfelt tributes displayed the depth of feeling toward Tim and his impact on others, not just as a teacher but as a person who helped shape personalities, how one should think about their place in the world and their concept of personal responsibility.
