Virginia State Parks are full of natural wonders. Now, you can save the $5 to $10 you’d spend on admission fees when you borrow a park pass from the library. The passes allow free parking and entrance to all 40 Virginia State Parks locations for one week and may be renewed up to three times if no one is waiting. Reserve a park pass here or search for "park pass" in the catalog.
Park passes aren't the only extras you can borrow. Check out other gadgets and gear, like:
Loudoun County residents sent a clear message over the last few months: Library fun is back! Nearly 15,000 people (from pre-readers to adults) signed up for the Summer Reading Program — a 78.9% increase over last year. We're thrilled to see so many people coming back through our doors. We’ve already handed out over 5,000 free books as prizes and look forward to keeping the momentum going into the fall.
Heads up: OverDrive is retiring its legacy app in 2023
Attention, OverDrive app users: OverDrive is discontinuing the legacy OverDrive app in 2023 and transitioning to the Libby app. Libby is OverDrive’s newer app for enjoying digital content from our library. All your loans, holds and wish list items will be waiting for you in Libby when you add your library card. Libby also comes with features we know you'll love, like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
If you think you can't do art, think again. Lovettsville artist Caitlin Keefe will show you the simple (but amazing) process of pour painting during hands-on workshops at four libraries in September.
