What A Night!

I know it was hot outside last week (and this week) but it was even hotter inside Hamburger Mary's for Legendary Bingo. Tuesday night was great and pretty packed but Wednesday night set records. A record for how many people who we could shove in to one space. Also a record for fastest bingo wins- and I am not kidding. People were winning after just one ball! Just kidding but it felt that way. Our pal Richard won "10 In One Box" on the 11th ball! Mathematically the odds of that would be....how the hell would I know? but pretty slim. At one point I was ready to play "Blackout" for every game.

Just kidding. That's me and AI messing with you. If you look closely you can even find some "celebrities that weren't really there" cameos in the crowd. Hint- one of them is "50!" One of them is famous for getting high. Oh, and one of them is a "boy" with a girls name. Woof.

Anyway, here are some actual shots from Wednesday night:

OMG, I know! Isn't that Chris Colfer from "Glee" along with June Squib star of stage and screen? And tv? Let's just say this- June is 98 years old and called the balls better than someone half her age (including me). She is everything you would imagine her to be. Funny, kind, gracious- and the kind of grandma who would whisper in your ear about another family member "they can just go and f*ck themselves!"

One of my favorite people in the world was also in attendance and I got a pic with her.

Yep- it's Nancy Allen from "Carrie" and "Dressed To Kill" and "Robocop" and also the co-founder of WeSpark, our benefiting charity for the night. The charity was celebrating their 25th anniversary and guess what? We were their 2nd event ever (the first was a miniature golf tournament). The first time we benefited them was all the way back at DuPar's which was, you guessed it, 25 years ago. It's so weird for me to be friends with Nancy since I think that "Carrie" is the best Horror movie ever made and have seen it at least 10 times over the years. Hard to imagine Nancy pulling a rope with John Travolta and covering the prom queen in pigs blood. She is one of the sweetest people you could ever meet.

Along with Chris Colfer and June Squib, this is Odessa A'Zion from the very recent hit film "Marty Supreme!" And she brought her 85 year old grandmother!

Thanks to all who attended and sorry to those who had less-than-stellar seats. I went and visited all of those on the patio and in the back and they all actually had a great time. It just goes to show you- make a reservation! We love walk-ins but we are the hottest ticket in town it seems so do the work!
