Lots of love left to give

Greetings!

Older pets are often overlooked for younger ones at the shelter. We know many of you have a soft spot for senior dogs and cats, and it warms our hearts when you open your homes to souls looking for a loving home to live out their golden years.

Last week, we featured senior pets each day on our social media, and made their adoption fees by donation (whatever you can give).

Our community came out for these senior pets!

Howard (11 year old cat), Patches (12 year old cat), Zoe (7 year old dog), Otis (6 year old dog), Sesame (7 year old dog) and Gus (6 year old dog) all went home with lucky new families.

Cheeto is our only senior resident still waiting.

This magnificent 7 year old kitty came to WCHS after his owners could no longer care for him. He's been an absolute ham in the adoption room for a couple of months, but has not found his people yet.

He looks like a miniature lion. He loves to talk and play with a wand toy. He enjoys pets, rubbing up on your legs, and exploring our catio. He would prefer to be the only fur baby in the home, but could live with respectful human children.

We know Cheeto will find his forever home, and we'll enjoy his sweet face and give him all the pets in the meantime. Thank you for all that you do to help!

Thank you to Brattleboro Automall for being an incredible partner and adoption advocate, and for always caring about the animals who need the most eyes and attention. Their support makes everything we do possible.
