Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

This weekend, something wonderful happens at St. Paul's: our Ministry Fair!

Our parish mission says, "Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here." We aspire to every word. But welcome is only the doorway. Christ's deeper invitation is to belong, to discover that this community truly needs you: your presence, your gifts, your ideas, and your heart.

Our patron, St. Paul, reminded the early Church that we are one Body with many parts, and that no part can say to another, "I don't need you." The same is true here. Something is missing at St. Paul's until you find your place in it.

Look around on Sunday and you'll see a parish that is alive because ordinary people keep saying yes.

Yes to serving at the altar.

Yes to feeding the hungry and visiting the lonely.

Yes to greeting a stranger at the door until they're no longer a stranger.

Yes to teaching our children and walking alongside our young people.

Yes to music that lifts our prayer, to hospitality that fills our hall, to justice and outreach that carry the Gospel into our streets.

Yes to the quiet, faithful work behind the scenes that no one sees but everyone depends on.

Every one of those 'yeses' began with someone who wasn't sure they were ready.

So let me set your mind at ease. You don't have to be an expert. You don't need a lot of spare time. And you certainly don't need to have your faith all figured out.

All you need is the willingness to ask one simple question: "Where might God be inviting me to take one more step?"

After every Mass this weekend, stop by the Ministry Fair. Grab a coffee, meet some new faces, ask questions, and discover a side of St. Paul's you may never have known was there. You might just find that place where your gifts and our community's needs meet, and where God has been waiting for you all along.

Peace and blessings,

Father Gil
