We know we’ve mentioned this before, but we often suggest going to your bank, your doctor, your attorney, and other professionals BEFORE you must. We’re trying to follow our own advice by bringing on the right people before we really have to. We are looking to expand our team, and we’d appreciate you passing along the note below to anyone you know who may be interested.

FORENSIC ACCOUNTANT / LITIGATION SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Abo and Company, LLC and its affiliate, Abo Cipolla Financial Forensics, LLC, is a South Jersey forensic accounting and full-service CPA firm seeking an experienced accountant, valuation, or forensic accounting professional to assist us on a part-time, outsourced, or project-specific basis.

We envision the individual would assist with matters involving:

  • Forensic accounting and financial investigations
  • Business valuations and closely held business interests
  • Matrimonial litigation and equitable distribution
  • Shareholder, partner, and business disputes
  • Economic damages and lost profits
  • Estate and gift tax valuations
  • Analysis of tax returns and financial statements
  • Tracing and analysis of financial transactions
  • Review and organization of discovery materials
  • Preparation of schedules, exhibits, and supporting analyses
  • Assistance with expert reports and rebuttal analysis
  • Other accounting and dispute resolution support matters

We value sound accounting judgment, analytical ability, attention to detail, professional writing skills, and the ability to work independently.

Not sure of yourself? – Email this opportunity to a friend.

We are particularly interested in an experienced professional who can work independently and assist as our caseload requires. The arrangement could range from individual projects to an ongoing part-time relationship, but we are especially looking for someone who can step into an engagement and provide experienced, hands-on assistance without requiring substantial supervision.

We are not necessarily looking to fill a traditional full-time position. Instead, we would like to build a relationship with an experienced professional who can help when engagements require additional capacity or specialized support.

Prior experience in forensic accounting, business valuation, litigation support, public accounting, or tax (we use UltraTax) is highly desirable. CPA, ABV, CVA, ASA, CFF, CFE, JD, or similar credentials are a plus, but relevant experience is more important.

This could be an excellent fit for a semi-retired practitioner, independent CPA, experienced forensic accountant seeking flexible assignments, a professional looking for meaningful part-time work, or someone interested in supplementing an existing practice. Assignments and hours would vary depending upon our caseload, and remote work may be possible for appropriate assignments.

If this sounds like a good fit, we would be pleased to have a confidential conversation so here's what you do:
