FROM YOUR PASTOR'S HEART...The Pathway to Peace!

I love the peace of God. We all want to live in peace. But how do we get there? The Apostle Paul gives us the pathway to peace in Philippians 4:2-9. We will also consider Jesus’ teaching about worry and anxiety as well. Are you ready to receive the peace of God? It starts with receiving the God of peace! Come receive Him and His peace this Sunday!

We will also be celebrating our veterans Sunday and presenting to many of them Quilts of Valor. These beautiful handmade quilts are gifts of love from the Heritage Quilting Ministry. We are blessed to get to honor our veterans who have served protecting our nation and being our peacekeepers. Colonel (retired) Allen Hargis, from Heritage, and I will be the Veterans Day speakers for Northridge Middle School on Wednesday at 9:00 am.

It is going to be a wonderful morning you won’t want to miss.

Wes

Philippians 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Upcoming Opportunities and Announcements

Praying for Our Pastors Workshop!

The Trinity Conference is hosting Praying for Our Pastors, an online event on November 7 from 10:00-11:30 am. We will gather in person in the Ministry Center for a time a learning, fellowship, and practice. We'll discuss why and how we pray for and with our pastors, and hear from some Trinity Conference pastors about how prayers have supported them. Then we will break out into groups to put what we've learned into practice.

Register here, or if you have questions, you can contact Greg McClure,

Heritage Women's Homestead Day - November 14

We have a new date for Women's Homestead Day! Join us Saturday, November 14, 8:30 am - 12:30 pm for a day experiencing life skills handed down from one generation to the next. “Back to the Basics” introductory classes will be offered on canning, needlework, gardening, and the art of homesteading. Most importantly, we will discuss time-proven traditions for being a faithful steward of the blessings the Lord has provided. Sign up on Church Center!

The month of November we are giving away Thanksgiving food boxes through our food pantry. We have 300 boxes to give away, and have already begun this week. We just want to say a big thank you to all the food pantry volunteers who selflessly give their time and energy each and every week to serve our community. We have volunteers from all walks of life that come to serve with joy and compassion for others.
