Dear Cougar Students and Families,

As the start of the school year gets closer, we hope your days have been filled with opportunities to relax, spend time with family and friends, and create lasting memories. Whether you've been traveling, enjoying time at home, working, volunteering, or preparing for the months ahead, we hope this season has provided you with the rest and renewal that summer brings.

Here at Gross Catholic, our faculty and staff have already begun preparing for an incredible 2026–2027 school year. We are filled with anticipation as we look forward to welcoming both returning and new students back to campus. Together, we will continue our tradition of academic excellence, faith formation, service, and community engagement that makes Gross Catholic such a special place.

The start of a new school year always brings fresh opportunities—to learn, to grow, to deepen our faith, and to build meaningful relationships. We cannot wait to see our hallways filled with energy, enthusiasm, and Cougar pride once again.

Thank you for being an important part of the Gross Catholic family. We are grateful for your continued partnership and support, and we look forward to sharing another outstanding year with each of you- DUX ESTO!

With Blessings,

Stephen P. Eubanks

President

Office Notes

Adjustment to Uniform Policy:

Due to the backorder for girls uniform skirts, we have adjusted the skirt policy for this school year. Girls can either wear a plaid skirt or a khaki skirt/short for the 26-27 school year. Khaki skirts can be purchased at Old Navy and JCPenney. Both stores have a uniform department.

Student Handbook Updates:

Please review the 2026/27 Student Handbook and return your signed forms from the mailed parent packet to the school office.

Parent Paws e-Newsletter will be sent weekly on Thursdays, beginning August 20th.

Campus Ministry

On behalf of our 54 Steubenville pilgrims, THANK YOU for your prayers and support! The Holy Spirit was definitely moving hearts, and I can't wait to see what our Lord has in store for these young people. We would especially like to thank our various donors, the Booster Club, and those who purchased "semester exam care packages." Your donations help make this encounter a reality for our students.

Cougar Community

We are getting ready to tee off for a great cause. Join us for a full day of excitement including golf, fun games, a delicious lunch, dinner catered by Eddie’s, refreshing drinks, raffles, and plenty of prizes. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or just coming for the camaraderie, there's something for everyone at the Cougar Classic golf scramble. By participating, sponsoring, or donating, you’re making a direct impact on the lives of our students, helping us provide the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.

Booster Club Events & Meeting

Please join us for the first Booster Club meeting on August 26^th in the Media Center.  We will have a social at 5:30 and meet at 6 PM.

Service is a core value of our school, and we are excited to partner with you in strengthening our community through volunteer involvement.

We offer a variety of opportunities throughout the year to accommodate different schedules, skills, and interests. We encourage every family to share their time, talents, and resources in ways that best support our school community.
