Bringing Hope to the Circle of Silence

Bringing the Good News of Jesus to the Circle of Silence, Mexico. 2024.09

Dear Friends,

We returned to Guadalajara in August! Cheryl and I are filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we are on inside the Circle of Silence. The Breath of Life churches have experienced growth even in our absence for 6 months. Lives are being renewed and Mexican lay leaders are growing in experience as God calls them to ministry. Your unwavering support and prayers play an essential role in this journey. Together, we are making a profound difference and impact on the Circle of Silence with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Expanding Team = Expanding Reach

Our SouthPointe Team is growing! This growth significantly enhances our capacity for church planting initiatives in central Mexico. With the addition of two new couples, we are now poised to launch two additional Breath of Life campuses by the end of the year, building on our current five congregations. Welcome Darrol and Kim Prussia and José and Marcela Doniz! What's amazing is that José and Marcela already speak Spanish because they are Mexican and God called them back from the US as missionaries to the Circle of Silence. Darrol and Kim have 10 years in Mexico as directors of English and Martial Arts institutes and bring their invaluable experience to our team to augment evangelism with ESL an Martial Arts.

Join us in Prayer for a suitable rental location for our Solares Campus. So many owners have turned us down because we are a Christian Evangelical church. There still exists much resistance to our churches and we ask you to join us this month in a concerted emphasis on prayer for a rental location for this new campus! Thank You!

Celebrating First Steps

Baptisms

While Cheryl and I were with many of you this past spring in missions’ conferences God was moving in the Circle of Silence. Here are 3 reasons for celebration of new first steps.

First Steps of Faith - Baptism

In September, we celebrated as 13 individuals, including our beloved Hector took the bold step of baptism, marking a profound turning point in their spiritual journey. Hector's story is one of resilience and hope, emerging from the shadows of a tragic collision that left him fighting for his life in 2023. Despite the pain and challenges, Hector opened his heart to Jesus and that changed his life. With unwavering determination, he stood on the edge of the baptismal pool, crutches in hand, fully committed to sharing his faith publicly. His testimony serves as an inspiring reminder of God's grace and power to transform lives.

First Stone - Purepecha Congregation

On a rainy September morning, the Purepecha congregation gathered in an open field in Quinceo as they celebrated the laying of the first stone for their future church home. Despite the challenges they faced, this humble community accomplished the remarkable feat of acquiring land on the outskirts of town. With hearts full of hope, they prayed over the stone, seeking God's guidance and provision to build a safe and secure place for worship. This new church home not only serves as a sanctuary for the congregation but also stands as a beacon of light and hope for surrounding communities.

SouthPointe Launches ESL

Community Development Programs

Community Development Integrated with New Campus Launches in Vision 5.5.25

We are opening two ESL pilot projects, one in a campus in Guadalajara and one in Zacatecas. This is our first venture into offering English classes in our church buildings to the community. Our strategy is to develop self-sustaining English institutes that can be a benefit to the surrounding community and be a bridge for the gospel. For the first semester we are exploring the how, when, how much, and who - of creating successful ESL classes. Darrol and Kim Prussia are the directors of this ministry and please keep them in prayer as they have the daunting task of developing the business plan and the ministry strategy. Integrating church planting with ESL community development is a key element of our Strategic Vision 5.5.25.

A Step Towards our Future -

Celebrating our 2nd Floor

Donate to Construction

Standing on the second floor!

Standing proudly on the newly poured second floor, we are thrilled to witness not only the architectural progress but also the collaborative spirit of our church members, who are actively participating in the construction process through sub-contracting efforts. As we aim to complete the preliminary work for the first floor by November 15th and prepare for our inauguration at the end of April 2025, we acknowledge the crucial role or your generosity and of our Alliance leadership in achieving these ambitious goals. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our generous donors and supporters whose contributions have been vital in transforming our vision into reality. Your continued support is essential as we move forward, ensuring that this church becomes a beacon of hope and transformation for the Circle of Silence.
