I had been waiting for my new Cambria DK yarn to arrive to kick off the Summer Tee MAL and it arrived on Wednesday! This is a private label yarn for Ball & Skein. It's the perfect yarn for a variety of projects and I hope you love the palette as much as I do! I'm so excited for both the yarn and the MAL!

Introducing Cambria DK

Cambria DK is finally here!

Of all my purchases at H+H in May, this is the one I am most excited about. I knew the exact yarn I wanted for my private label because DK weight Superwash Merino is my favorite. And it has been a labor of love...designing my private label, selecting my palette, and naming my colors. Of course Beverly had to be on the labels and we had way too much choosing names with local significance.

I'm so pleased with the results and hope you will be too!

I'll be casting on Blouse No. 3 using the San Simeon colorway this weekend. So you'll have to wait about a week for a finished garment to ogle!

This is a wonderful yarn to use for your Mid-Summer Tee MAL project. There are some combos that would be stunning for either the Rhinebeck Hat or the Knitting My Second Sweater class projects.

Mid-Summer Tee MAL Kicks Off on August 3rd

I'm excited to announce the Mid-Summer Tee MAL (Make-A-Long) that kicks off on August 3rd!

Since moving to Cambria, I've become completely obsessed with knitting short-sleeve sweaters...aka Summer Tees. In Cambria's temperate climate, I can wear one almost everyday. I've especially fallen in love with new yarns that blend linen, merino wool, cotton, hemp, and bamboo.

Here’s how the MAL works…to join the fun, select a summer tee to knit or crochet, purchase the yarn at the shop or online, and we will gift you the pattern! On Sunday August 3rd, we will all cast on together in person at the shop @ 12PM or online via zoom @ 4:30PM.

If you live in or are visiting the Cambria area, drop by the shop to join the Mid-Summer Tee MAL stitchers on Fridays from Noon - 1:30PM throughout August. If you are not local, you are welcome to join the weekly Stitching in Your Slippers zoom on Thursdays from 4:30 - 6PM. There is no need to sign up and there is no cost to attend.

For those of you who finish your sweater by August 31st and email us a photo (info@cambriayarn.com), we will include your name in a prize drawing for a $100 Gift Card.

I introduced Entropy DK by Feederbrook Farm and Ohajiki by Noro in the Spring and both flew out of the shop. They're gorgeous yarns and we have gorgeous garments to prove it!
