Demystifying the Complexities of the Male Batterer’s Value Systems, His Criminality, and the Status of Batterer Intervention Programs
The keynote session will examine how batterers think, utilize language, interpret intimate relationships and will expose the batterers’ concrete and abstract beliefs.

A review of the components of criminality and the escalation of criminal behaviors impacting the batterers themselves, the victims, law enforcement, providers and society will be presented.

Current and future trends of Batterer Intervention Programs will be explored including the controversy of appropriate treatment, the challenge of evidence-based programming and the effectiveness of Batterer Intervention programs.

It will also address the rise in domestic violence cases during the COVID-19 lockdown.
