Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School
Week of September 2, 2026
Educating in Mind, Body and Spirit.
Transforming the mind, body, and spirit through academic distinction, social development, and our Catholic faith tradition.
| | | | |
Dear OLOL Family,
We gathered together today to celebrate the first all-school Mass of the 2026–2027 school year, celebrating the Mass of the Holy Spirit. Father Jim beautifully spoke about the importance of nurturing the development of mind, body, and spirit. This year, we will strive to live out the prayer that is on the back of our spirit shirts:
Transforming the mind, body, and spirit through academic distinction, social development, and our Catholic faith tradition.
All of our students have now joined us at school, as our 3K and 4K classes started this week. It is always fun to have the littlest children in the building, bringing lots of joy and laughter. We are all settling into our routines and getting back into the rhythm of another school year.
We are also blessed to welcome back so many of our wonderful volunteers. We are incredibly grateful for all they do to help our school run smoothly. From helping in the library and providing support during recess and lunch to laminating materials and making copies for teachers, our volunteers give generously of their time and talents. They do so much to support our teachers, staff, and students. Their presence is truly a gift to our school community. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to me, and I would be happy to direct you to the right people.
With the first days behind us and a strong foundation for learning in place, we are ready to get into the heart of the school year and move forward full steam ahead. We have a lot planned, and I’m looking forward to seeing all that our students will accomplish this year.
With gratitude,
Jessica Nejedlo
