Trust, not uncertainty, should guide the future of organ donation in SC

Organ donation is built on trust. In this op-ed, SHSC President & CEO, Dave DeStefano shares why trust, strong partnerships and fair policies are essential to protecting the future of donation in South Carolina.

Donation Discussions

Charleston County Coroner Bobbi Jo O'Neal joins us in our latest episode of Donation Discussions to discuss the coroner's role in organ donation and helps dispel common myths surrounding the donation process.

Safety & Emergency Management Training (EMT) Now Available

As we are in the process of refreshing our volunteer program, we want to ensure that all volunteers are informed with the necessary safety policies and procedures in case of an emergency while volunteering at a SHSC office. All volunteers are required to complete this training before being onsite at an SHSC facility and will be asked to complete before returning.

The EMT Volunteer Training PowerPoint is now accessible on VolunteerHub. Once you log into your account, it will be the first item displayed on your screen. Please complete the training as soon as you can to stay informed and ready to support our mission.

If you have any questions please reach out to Chasity B. (Community Events Coordinator) at benjaminc@sharinghopesc.org. Thank you for your commitment!
