Registration is now open here.

CMP/CE Credits: 5 clock hours
Can't make it that day? Register now and have access to all the recordings.

"Sit in the Attendee’s Chair ™: Now What?"
Attendees are your largest group of stakeholders, and could be argued the most important—if attendees get what they need, in a strategically planned meeting, everyone else’s Goals and Objectives get met too.
So how do we need to look at meetings and events in this new world? Still from their perspective, except “they”, like everyone else, are experiencing everything differently than they did in February 2020.

By attending this session you will learn thought processes and steps to take concerning:
Meeting Basic Needs in Face to Face, Hybrid and Virtual
How do we make people feel safe and secure, especially when people have so many different interpretations of what that means?
Inclusivity—do we need to expand how we interpret that?

Cruises

When Will Cruises Restart?
"The CDC has announced that cruise companies can skip test sailings if they can show that 98% of a ship's crew members and 95% of its passengers will be fully vaccinated, this would allow sailing to start again mid-July from U.S. ports. Maybe another CMP at Sea will happen?!"

Travel

You can now reserve a spot in the TSA line at Sea-Tac
You can now reserve a spot in the TSA line at the Seattle airport. The program is called SEA Spot Saver, where you can make a digital reservation to virtually wait on line. "The program will operate daily through Aug. 31 from 4 a.m. to noon (the airport’s peak travel period) at two checkpoints (2 and 5) and offer expedited screening to general screening passengers for free. No membership or account sign-up is required. (Expedited, nonreserved screening remains available to passengers enrolled in Trusted Traveler programs such as TSA PreCheck and CLEAR)."

Car Rentals
I posted the below article on the last EGuide and Courtney Yantes, CMP sent me a great response I would like to share:

"Your link to the car rental situation just made my jaw drop. Well, my resulting search after I read that article made my jaw drop. I am heading out to Wyoming in a few weeks, and I booked a rental car months ago. Reserved it for 8 days for less than $400. I went and checked today, just out of curiosity to see what the price difference would be based on the shortage trend, and there is nothing available smaller than a full-size SUV and they are going for $1,600. What???!!!! An instance when it pays to be a planner! Yowza! Now let’s just hope there’s actually a car waiting for me when I get there and I’m not renting a horse somewhere to wander around the Tetons!"

Miss the article last time? With everybody getting ready for roadtrips here it is again.

Can’t find a car rental? Here are 7 secrets that may help
Rental Cars running $700 a day? People renting U-Hauls just to have wheels?
The rental car companies sold much of their inventory over the past year to generate revenue and not have to pay for thousands of unused cars. Not demand is back---and they don't have the cars. Not only that they can't buy them---why? Because there is a shortage of new cars, because there is a shortage of microchips...
What we have learned about supply chains in the past year...

Should I purchase rental car insurance for a rental car booking?
