NEW ORLEANS—An afternoon of entertainment and fun will serve as the perfect backdrop for the New Orleans Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated’s Enchanted Garden Experience Fundraiser. Through the event, the New Orleans Chapter will raise funds in support of the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and local non-profits Hotel Hope, Covenant House and the North Rampart Community Center. In addition, members and teens of our chapter raise funds in honor of one of our most impactful members, Ann Coxen Mitchell, to benefit deserving students who attend our local HBCU institutions, Xavier University, Southern University at New Orleans, and Dillard University. The event will be held on Sunday, March 23 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. at the Arbor Room at Popp Fountain in City Park.

“Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Enchanted Garden Experience was our annual signature fundraiser. It is important for us to host this event again and bring community members together in support of such worthy causes,” said Tonya Johnson, president of the New Orleans Chapter.

In addition to raising funds for the listed non-profits, the New Orleans Chapter will also recognize community leaders and organizations who have been selected for the organization’s prestigious “Jack of the Year,” “Jill of the Year,” and “Jack and Jill of the Year.” These awards recognize individuals and organizations dedicated to promoting constructive educational, cultural, civic, recreational, health, and social programs that foster growth, development, and leadership among children. Guests will also be entertained by sounds from the band Royal Essence.

Charlene Larche-Mason serves as Fundraising Chair of the Enchanted Garden Experience Fundraiser. Tickets are $100. Advance purchase is required. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit https://ticketstripe.com/nolajackandjill-gardenexperience.
