Recent upgrades to your parks and trails

Crews remove invasive ivy from Lake Hills Greenbelt locations

Ivy removal underway at Lake Hills Greenbelt

Ivy may look harmless, but when it climbs trees it weakens them, blocks sunlight and spreads fast. This fall, we are using a King Conservation District grant to remove invasive English ivy at Lake Hills Greenbelt. This work will mean healthier trees over time. More areas will be restored as funding allows, with a long-term goal of replanting native species.

Lake Hills Greenbelt is one of Bellevue’s most treasured trail corridors, and we are proud to partner with EarthCorps, whose mission advances environmental justice while building the next generation of environmental leaders. Protecting our forests takes steady work and this is one more step forward.

New turf at Robinswood Park

Crews are installing synthetic turf at Robinswood Park. The upgraded fields are scheduled to reopen this spring.
