New Continuous Improvement Room

A conference room at our Ravenswood, WV plant has been transformed into a continuous improvement workspace where the enhancement of the organization is the principal goal.

The company has been focused on continuous improvement for several years. Savings from their efforts has proven crucial to the company in reducing costs, especially during a slow economy. Implementing a continuous improvement room that contains the required tools to quickly problem solve will reduce the time spent preparing for meetings and encourage spontaneous brainstorming.

Star has worked hard and uses continuous improvement strategies daily to navigate through problems and improve the processes within Star. Our employees efforts have made a huge impact on the company. If you have questions, contact Operations Manager Josh Bentley at jbentley@starplastics.com.

Plastics Recycling Tip

Caps are usually made of a different type of plastic than their bottles, so it used to be standard procedure to recycle them separately. But because of their small size, many caps wouldn’t make it through the modern sorting process and would wind up at the landfill instead. So put the cap back on before putting your bottle in the recycle bin.
