Congratulations to our two newest Board members: Darien De Lu (President) and Nancy Price (At-large). The Nominating Committee (NC) thanks the three candidates, Darien De Lu, Nancy Price, and Barbara Nielsen, for their continued willingness to dedicate their time and energy to WILPF on a national level. Thank you to our voters for weighing in on an important election, as well as for donating and renewing memberships, for a total of $3,487.
The NC is grateful for the four members of the Des Moines Branch and the independent observer from Indivisible who generously gave their time to the ballot counting process.
Apply for Interim Board Positions!
Five open Board positions remain:
- Development Chair
- Nominating Committee Chair
- Personnel Chair
- Program Chair
- At-Large Member
The Nominating Committee urges WILPF members to consider applying for these one-year interim positions for 2019 (
see descriptions here). For the Personnel Committee Chair, members with knowledge of human resources and/or union experience are especially urged to apply. Any interested members should apply by
downloading the application.
There will be rolling deadlines for interim applications. The first deadline is January 31. All applications received by January 31 will be considered and voted on by the Board. Remaining open positions will be extended to the next rolling deadline of the end of the next month.
In the fall 2019 elections, these positions plus the Treasurer position will be up for election.
