It's time to Complete the Annual Parent Satisfaction Survey! | |
Dear Families,
The annual parent satisfaction survey opened on Tuesday of this week. If you missed the message, you can access the survey via this link, or the QR code below.
Please take a few minutes to tell us about your experiences at Archway Trivium. Your feedback affirms what we do well and tells us what we need to do better. The survey will remain open until midnight on Tuesday, March 5.
Because your feedback is so important to us, we want to encourage every family to participate. To that end, if we achieve a participation rate of 80% or higher, we will celebrate with a special dress-down day where students and staff may wear jeans (pants) and non-uniform sneakers to school!
| |
|
We need your help to keep our school fully funded for this school year.
The Arizona Public School Tax Credit (TC) drive supports character-building activities including athletics, enrichment courses, and field trips.
Every Arizona resident is eligible to contribute their Public School Tax Credit, claim it on their state taxes, and receive the same amount on their tax return.
We ask parents to give $200 if they file individually or $400 if they file jointly. We also ask extended family, faculty, and friends to give their Tax Credits as well.
We ask you to make a lasting commitment to your scholars and our school through the tax credit.
Take the Tax Credit Today!

Students may dress according to the dress code below (or wear Spirit Wear/regular uniform) on Field Day:
Athletic Practice and Outdoor Field Day Dress Code
Just as ACA provides guidelines for dress code in the classroom, it is important to project the image of professionalism in our athletic attire as well. All shirts worn for athletic practices and field day should be modest, loose fitting, in good repair (no holes, torn sleeves, etc.), should be worn either tucked in or well over the waist of the pants/shorts if not tucked in. No midriffs may be shown. T-shirts are preferred—no tank tops, camisoles, or sports bras may be worn as outer-garments. Sleeveless shirts may be worn if modest. Pants/shorts should be modest and in good repair (no holes, torn sleeves, etc.) No short-shorts or long baggy shorts may be worn. No boxers or undergarments may be visible. Attire should be free of inappropriate messages. Sports team logos (e.g., Diamondbacks, Notre Dame), and apparel brand names (e.g., Adidas, Nike) are acceptable, provided they do not make inappropriate allusions. These guidelines also apply to sweatshirts and jackets that students may wear. Footwear should be athletic in nature: no sandals, open-toed, or platform shoes. Hats and sunscreen may be appropriate if the students will be in the sun. Hat styles should follow the same guidelines as above.

Here are a few important reminders from our school health office:
- Please send your student to school with a sweater, coat, or a couple of clothing layers in the morning. Morning recess can be very cold. Many students are chilled to the bone because they aren’t wearing warm enough clothing. The school does not have sweaters and coats to provide all the students. Thank you for making sure your student is dressed properly for all outdoor temperatures.
- If your student has borrowed clothing from the health office, we ask that you clean it and return them as soon as possible. Thank you for helping us help your children!
- If your student has been diagnosed by a healthcare provider with a communicable disease, for example strep throat, has had surgery, or has been evaluated for an injury, please contact the health office. We ask that you obtain a written note from your child’s healthcare provider that states the diagnosis and return to school date and give this note to the health office staff. We want to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep your child safe and healthy at school.
- If your student has a fever of 100.0 degrees or higher, diarrhea, or vomiting: Do not send your student to school unless they have been fever free for 24 hours without the use of any fever reducing medication, no vomiting for 24 hours without the use of anti-nausea medication and able to tolerate food and fluids, and/or no diarrhea for 24 hours without the use of anti-diarrheal medication. Consider keeping your student home from school when they have multiple symptoms of illness such as cough, congestion, runny nose, sore throat, stomachaches, headaches, or ear pain.
- Help your student to get plenty of rest. A good night’s sleep and bedtime routine helps your scholar to recover from the day, aids their immune system, and gives them the energy they need to succeed in the classroom the next day.
Your health office staff thanks you!

Late Pick-up Policy
We have been doing very well with our on-campus student pick-up and drop-off routines as of late. Every year, it takes a few weeks for us to settle into a routine so that the pickup runs smoothly. Now that pick-up times are running efficiently, we ask parents to ensure they arrive on time to pick up their students.
We will begin enforcing our Late Pick-up Policy on Tuesday, September 5. Please make sure you are arriving within 30 minutes of the end of school to pick up your scholar in order to avoid being charged a late pick-up fee. Parents arriving after this time will be required to sign out their child from the MPR and may be assessed a $2 per minute, per student late fee. All late pick-up fees will be added to your Configio account and are due upon receipt. For more information, please see page 46 of our Family Handbook.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - You will be charged from 3:35pm
Wednesday - You will be charged from 1:55pm
Half days - You will be charged from 12:25pm (excludes Half Day Kinder)

School Messenger Communication
Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.
Email Communications
If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.
You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
