JRB FINANCIAL PULSE

November 2025 — Issue #90

A Word from the CEO

As the year rapidly comes to a close, the JRB Board and staff continue working on enhancements to the Plan. These changes are designed to improve the investment menu, lower fees where possible and introduce an additional way to save for retirement.

A quick reminder: Last month we announced that several mutual funds, including all Target Date Funds, will transition to collective investment trusts (CITs). That change will take place on December 5.  Learn More.

New! Effective December 1, a Roth contribution will be available in the JRB Plan. With Roth, you contribute after-tax dollars and, if requirements are met, withdraw those dollars and their earnings tax-free in retirement. Traditional pre-tax contributions, where taxes are deferred until withdrawal, remain available. Learn more about the Roth.

In the past month, the federal government announced the 2026 Social Security COLA, the rules that apply when working before full retirement age and updated FICA/SECA withholding rates.

The IRS announced the 2026 retirement plan contribution limits. Get ready for the new year, increase the amount you save and strengthen your financial security.

Hear Cantor Sara Geller talk about working with the JRB, "Your best retirement friend.”

Finally, I'd like to leave you with a thought from David Rothenberg, the NAASE representative on the JRB Board. In a D'var Torah on retirement presented at the July Board meeting, David quoted psalm 92 - “od yenuvun b’seivah” – in old age the righteous shall flourish and remain fruitful, imbued with vigor and strength.

We wish you vigor, strength and a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you have questions, please reply to this email or call 888-JRB-FREE (572-3733).

L'Shalom,
