Ghostwood Tasting
with Lachlan Perks
Friday, June 23rd
4:00-6:00PM

Ghostwood Premium 4 Grain Bourbon
$59.99
Dark amber color. Aromas of oak with hints of toffee and spice. Woody, nutty, slightly buttery and earthy mouthfeel with flavors of oak, almond, toffee and spice. Finishes warm, dry and uniquely smooth. 52% yellow corn, 30% rye, 10% red wheat, 8% malted barley.

Ghostwood Barrel Proof Premium 4 Grain Bourbon
$84.99
They are all ghost stories. Every story we share over a glass of whiskey. Each anecdote told while sharing this 4-grain whiskey gets carved into the Ghostwood tree and becomes a part of its legend. It soaks up a part of you and seeps into the roots and hearty Montana soil. One glass and the darkness becomes less foreboding and beckons you to live beyond the firelight. Same mashbill at the Ghostwood above, just presented at Barrel Proof (114pf).

Ghostwood Straight Rye Whiskey
$99.99
This Rye is unlike any other on the market! Not simply because of its 4-Grain Mash Bill, but also because it is a marriage of the best grains in Montana and mixed with the best corn we can find from Illinois. Aged in 𝟓𝟑 gallon, Kelvin Cooperage Barrels at a specific char level to maximize the flavor profile.

A sommelier’s palate, a farmer’s thumb, and a winemaker’s soul.
A Manhattan-based sommelier tastes some Washington State wines and is so inspired, he sells everything to move across the country to make his own. That’s the start of the story of Gramercy Cellars, where a close eye on the grapes (picked for almost-peak ripeness, mostly organic), matched with minimalist wine making techniques (no or little new oak, no additives) and a lot of time (extended aging) has created wine that’s considered some of the best that Washington offers.

This kind of balance starts with the vineyards. The Walla Walla and surrounding AVAs offer the perfect climate and soil conditions for the kind of wines they wanted to make. Gramercy farms its grapes from old vines, carefully tended. It owns three estate vineyards, and controls several others, to ensure the grapes are grown and picked for the specific profile Gramercy is trying to achieve. Many of its wines—particularly its Rhônes—are single-vineyard estate wines.

At the winery, the Gramercy team carefully design the fermentations; sometimes in concrete, sometimes in oak, always with patience and minimalism. The result is honest and complex wines that pair well with food and age well. And get reviewed well!

Napa Valley
Cabernet Sauvignon
2019
$44.99 reg. $54.99
Mornings of foggy coolness , sun breaking through to the surrounding hills. A minute by minute change. Warmth settles in as the vines begin their work of the day - Mother nature's magical creation. This evolution goes on for six months, incredibly, as vines fight to ripentheir clusters all the way to the October harvest. Finally producing the story of Napa, the elusive Cabernet wine whose singular character neither science nor scholars can fully explain. The fine tastes of Napa are derived from the soil, climate and a dedicated winemaker.

2019
$46.99 reg. $52.99
Wine Spectator 92 Points
A seamless assortment of classic Napa Cabernet aromas exude from the glass—cassis, black cherries, chaparral, and a touch of intriguing butterscotch. On the palate, the wine is tastefully expressive with ripe raspberry, crème caramel, bay leaf, and two types of currants—red and black. Carrying its own weight through the finish, the wine’s prominent tannins will soften over time.

Wine Spectator 91 Points
Fruit for our Napa Valley Cabernet comes from sub-appellations throughout the Valley, each of which have been specially chosen for their contributions to a combined blend that is a true reflection of place, a gorgeous expression of Napa Valley. Nearly half of this year’s blend is sourced from the deep, well-drained soils of Oakville, which give us gorgeously dark, supple wines framed by fine tannin. Complementary portions of the blend come from Stags Leap District, Oak Knoll, Yountville and Rutherford.
