City agrees to take over Town Center Bridge decorative lights
For many years, the Town Center HOA and the commercial property owners worked together to maintain the common areas in Town Center, including the decorative lights along the Town Center Bridge, for the benefit of everyone. Recently, the Town Center HOA ended that partnership and turned off the meter that powered the decorative lights on the Town Center Bridge.
After a request by the Town Center HOA, the City of Cedar Park is taking the necessary steps to restore power to the decorative lights with the cooperation of the Town Center HOA. Once the Town Center HOA signs the necessary documents, the City staff will work diligently to restore power to the decorative lights.
Please note that since the City is unaware of the condition of the decorative lights or whether the decorative lights were properly maintained, some lights may not function immediately after the City is able to restore power. After restoration, the City will evaluate options for a long-term solution for lighting along the Town Center Bridge.
In addition, the City is also working on a capital improvement project to provide lighting in the pedestrian tunnels located along the trails in Town Center Park. All of these lighting improvements further the City Council’s Strategic Goals related to a Safe Community and Livability & Sense of Place.

Happy Asian American and Pacific Islander Month
May marks Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders to the fabric of society. It's an opportunity to recognize the diverse tapestry of traditions, languages, and experiences within these communities.
As we observe AAPI Heritage Month, let us reaffirm our commitment to solidarity, equality, and justice for all. Let us amplify AAPI voices, uplift their stories, and stand together in the fight against prejudice and discrimination. Together, we can create a future where diversity is not only celebrated but embraced as a source of strength and unity.
