Our programs are back in session! The Urban Improv ensemble is serving seven partner schools, the Freelance Players have five performance troupes, and Youth Unscripted will be creating a new original performance piece to be presented in March. And please help us welcome new Executive Director, Robert Kordenbrock.
Mayor Wu Visits Urban Improv
To kick off the school year and Urban Improv’s 30th anniversary as a leading SEL program in the Boston schools, Robert Kordenbrock and the Urban Improv ensemble welcomed Mayor Michelle Wu to the Richard J. Murphy School in Dorchester on Thursday, October 27th. Ms. Manetta’s 4th grade class and Mayor Wu sang “Family Tree” in American Sign Language and helped an inter-galactic visitor learn about what defines a Family.
We’ll be doing assemblies on Microaggressions, Bullying and Cyberbullying with students, parents and teachers at Newton Public Schools, Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, Parker Middle School in Reading and at The Atrium School in Watertown this school year.
Your generous contribution todayhelps us continue to grow our kid-centric programming and serve our students, who need our support now more than ever. Thank you!
