Legislative Update for week of May 4-8 - Budget and Protection for Babies “Born Alive after an Attempted Abortion” Legislation: SB 999
Missouri Right to Life thanks bill sponsor Senator Brad Hudson and the Missouri Senate for passing SB 999 with the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act language included!
This is a major step forward in protecting babies who survive attempted abortions and ensuring they receive the care and legal protections they deserve.
Now, we urge the Missouri House of Representatives to quickly pass this lifesaving legislation and send it to the Governor’s desk so these critical protections can finally be placed into Missouri law.
SB 999 passed the Senate Wednesday evening by a vote of 18-14.
