Reveals Top Commercial Pies in the Nation



The team from Rocky Mountain Pies celebrates winning 26 blue ribbons at the recent

28th APC National Pie Championships in Florida.

May 8, 2025 (ORLANDO) -- The results of the 28th Annual APC National Pie Championships are in, with the nation's top commercial and independent pie makers for 2025 revealed.


First Place blue ribbon winners in the commercial division were awarded to an array of esteemed bakeries with Rocky Mountain Pies leading the pack with an astounding 26 blue ribbons.


“We are always thrilled to gather in Orlando each year with our competitors to participate in the APC National Pie Championships and to promote the pie industry," said Mark "Par" Grandinetti, President, Rocky Mountain Pies, which has been competing in the championships since 2007, having won more than 300 blue ribbons. "We look forward to the coming years and working with the American Pie Council to train a new generation of pie eaters!"

The top independent bakery was White Post Farms with a bakery-best 8 blue ribbons.

Karo Corn Syrup enticed the Commercial and Independent Divisions to further showcase their creativity, using Karo Corn Syrup in a unique pie of their choosing. Each winner received 275 gallons of Karo Corn Syrup.


Commercial Winner -- Rocky Mountain Pies for their Karo Pecan Pie

Independent Winner -- Zukie's Pies and Cakes for their Bourbon Pecan Pie


The 28th APC National Pie Championships were held April 14 and 15 in Kissimmee, Florida. More than 500 pies were entered, with more than 150 judges at the ready to taste test the exceptional treats.


Bakers were inspired by several prominent speakers as part of BEMA’s Pie Industry Education (PIE), hosted by the association’s Emily Bowers, V.P., Education and Operations. Ben Simpson, Sr. Director, Membership, American Bakers Association, shared the latest baking industry insights from Washington, D.C. While Joanie Spencer, Editor-in-Chief, Commercial Baking, shared the latest pie industry stats and trends at the Holton Food Products Luncheon.


Plenty of time for socializing was enjoyed at the Rich Products Welcome Reception and Colborne Foodbotics Awards Ceremony and Reception.
