Summer Edition

What's New?!

Hey Parent's and Youth! If I haven't had the pleasure of meeting you yet, my name is Meghan Johnson and I'm the new youth minister for Christ Church! A little about me is that I'm Pensacola born and raised and was previously the Diocesan Youth Minister. I've finished two years at The University of Southern Mississippi and have decided to finish my Undergrad Degree in Psychology at PSC. I have a striped grey cat named Potter (Yes, I'm a huge Harry Potter fan) and have just recently grown fond of gardening and caring for plants.

Now for the important stuff: I've remodeled the EYC Newsletter in a way that hopefully works for all of us!! I will send a new EYC Newsletter every Monday, with the new information in this column (What's New?!). Monthly events will appear under the High School and Middle School columns. If you have any questions or want to grab lunch or coffee, please feel free to email me! I would love to get to know all of you before the school year starts!

Have you been looking for a way to get back into a spiritual groove? Have you been reading God's word and are just dying to share it? Come to Bible Study at the Beach! This is a great opportunity to build your community and connection with God. Bring a blanket and your Bible and join us at the beach! See you there!

Movies in the Park is brought to you by our very own City of Pensacola! Once a month, they will host a movie night in Maritime Park. This month, the movie is Wonka, a film about young Willie Wonka! The movie starts at sunset (6:00 PM) and you are more than welcome to bring blankets and snacks. There will be local food trucks for concessions and free parking if you'd like to bring the whole family!

High School EYC has now been MOVED to Sunday nights from 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM. Hopefully this change will allow for more participation from all schools in the area. The first event for High School will be the Back to School Kick Off on Sunday, August 11. Parents, if anyone is interested in hosting this event at their house, please email me at meghan@christ-church.net.

Middle School EYC

June 8, 2024

Join us in celebrating World Ocean Day by making a positive impact! We'll meet at this place to start our beach cleanup, then stay to enjoy the fruits of our labor! Please be sure to wear closed toe tennis shoes and bring a reusable water bottle for the cleanup. Don't forget a bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen for afterwards!
