North Beach Art Gallery invites you to its February Exhibition on Thursday, February 20th, 2025, from 6-9 p.m. The event features award-winning Miami-based artist Rosaria Vigorito and a live performance by classically trained pianist and vocalist Jake Luger. Proceeds will benefit North Beach Art and Charity, Inc., 501(c)(3).

Rosaria Vigorito, with an MFA from the New York Academy of Art, Vigorito has a distinctive style that features mosaic-like fragmentation, raw emotive lines, and vibrant colors, exploring themes such as the female form, portraiture, and the inner psyche. She perceives her role as an artist as a messenger, philosopher, outlier, and empath, aiming to provoke thought and evoke emotion through her creations.

Special guest artist feature: Susan Zatt. Recently showcased at the Best of 2023 in the Art World celebration in Times Square—curated by ArtTour International Magazine—Susan’s work is a testament to the power of visual storytelling. Her art, rich in detail and vibrant expression, invites viewers into a world where each brushstroke tells a story and every color sings. Join us for an evening where her masterpieces are viewed and truly experienced, transcending traditional boundaries and offering a fresh perspective on creativity.

The evening will also feature a live performance by Jake Luger, a classically trained pianist renowned for his dynamic keyboard skills and soulful vocals.

STEAMSHIP UNITED STATES on the MOVE!

Once the pride of American maritime engineering, the SS United States is set to embark on its final journey from Philadelphia to become the world’s largest artificial reef off the coast of Florida. Purchased by Okaloosa County in October 2024, the nearly 1,000-foot-long ocean liner will first be transported to Mobile, Alabama, where a year-long process will ensure its environmental safety before being submerged near Destin-Fort Walton Beach. Launched in 1952, the SS United States still holds the transatlantic speed record and was a symbol of American innovation before its decommissioning in 1969. In addition to the reef, a land-based museum and immersive experience will be created to preserve its legacy. North Beach Art Gallery features a rare lithograph of this iconic ship, initially published by the Mariners’ Museum in 1953 and painted by renowned maritime artist Thomas C. Skinner, making it a valuable piece for collectors and ocean liner enthusiasts.
