Summer PEIMS Deadline

June 20 is the deadline for Summer PEIMS. There were no changes to college prep for the 2024-2025 school year.

College Prep for 2025-2026

  • For the 2027 accountability year (2026 graduates), CCMR credit will continue to be given to all students who successfully complete a college prep course.
  • College prep courses do not have to be on the approved list to receive CCMR credit in 2025-2026. This delay was announced in TAA correspondence on May 8.
  • Only college preparatory course credits earned by students in Grade 12 will be eligible for CCMR credit in the 2027 accountability year.
  • School districts are expected to implement unique course codes for College Preparatory Courses beginning with the 2025–2026 academic year. All college prep course providers, whether they are on the approved list or not, are assigned a unique course code.
  • Please see codes for College Prep from the bottom of Page 19 through the top of Page 23 of this 25-26 course change log. There are many questions surrounding this change, and we will share answers as we receive them.

College Prep for 2026-2027

  • Starting with the 2028 accountability year (2027 graduates), CCMR credit will only be given for students who pass a college prep course on the approved list.
  • No college prep providers met TEA’s approval criteria for college prep mathematics.
  • Only five college prep providers met TEA’s approval for college prep English: Amarillo College, Brazosport College, Hill College, Education Service Center 1, and Education Service Center 20
  • This May 29 slide deck from TEA provides information about college prep course data and timelines.
  • Existing course providers can re-apply and be considered for future inclusion on the approved list. Further guidance, including application instructions and implementation support, will be provided as Fall 2025 approaches.
  • A student successfully completing a college prep course that is not on the approved list or a student who is not in 12th grade may still be eligible for TSI exemption at the partnering IHE based on the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), but that student should not be reported in TSDS PEIMS for the purposes of CCMR.
