SWEEPING INTO SUMMER

We are in the heat of summer, which means we are burning up the remaining days of our annual sweep discount. This year, our discount will end the last day of July, in order to complete repairs and installs prior to the fall burn season. The discount includes any wood or pellet sweep, and any annual gas log cleaning and service. You must be scheduled within the discount time period to qualify for the discount.

Also this year, we are celebrating our 3rd year as Dave's Chimney Service, and launching our first website. We are adding dryer vent sweeps to the discount period when you schedule one of the above qualifying services at the same time.

We want to thank you for your constant support. Dave is now the longest running Certified Chimney Technician in the state, and we are going into our THIRD YEAR in business as Dave's Chimney Service. As with many fields, there is continuous education in order to understand the requirements and codes in the field of expertise. Dave is blessed to have a Certified Specialist that we have available to us for our larger projects. This team is undeniably the most skilled I have ever seen in this industry in the state of Arkansas.

We have seen large amounts of storm damage go without replacement or repairs, due to the lack of these skilled Certified Techs completing the inspections. Insurance is quick to discount and close your claim, leaving you with the financial responsibility of repairs not filed during that claim period. Please have a fully Certified Chimney Technician complete your fireplace inspection prior to closing your storm claims. We will provide the proper code information and reasonable estimate needed to your insurance company required to fully restore your home to its prior amenities. These claims can often take months to get approval in a massively damaged area, so the sooner you file that claim, the more likely you will have a fireplace this burn season. If you choose to switch to a gas log fireplace, we can install that also, but not in a fireplace deemed unsafe to burn. Gas logs still must be installed in a fire worthy fireplace, and can still cause a house fire if the fireplace doesn't meet code requirements.

Our services are still highly competitive in rates in comparison to others in Central Arkansas, so please help your friends and family get this same quality at the best value available.

This fireplace was completely removed by a general contractor, and can no longer be used as a masonry fireplace. A new construction is now required here at a very large expense.

This fireplace pipe was no longer available, and partially ripped from the chase in the Little Rock tornado's. The General Contractor chose to have a solid chase cover made and the fireplace was no longer usable. Given the ability to communicate with the insurance, and added time, we could have replaced the unit to code for the customer. This Contractor waited until the last project to request an inspection, and were rushed to close the claim.

After a tree falling on this chimney, the insurance adjustor told the customer they just needed a new cap. This flu tile was clearly broken on the top, but cracked throughout the inside as well. This customer needed added flu tiles, a new cap, and a full chimney reline to be repaired from this storm damage. Without these repairs, this customer exposed his house to a fire risk with every flame. To an untrained eye, "It's not so bad".
