The purpose of the forum is to bring the Portuguese Speaking Community together to:
- Better understand the needs of the Portuguese Speaking Community (this encompasses all Portuguese-speaking communities including Portuguese, Brazilian, Cape Verdean, Macanese, etc.)
- Improve health literacy within the Portuguese Speaking Community
- Provide information about diseases and conditions that specifically affect the Portuguese Speaking Community
- Fuel much needed health-related research about the Portuguese Speaking Community
Our goal is to bring together professionals in the medical and healthcare industries, as well as community members to improve communication, understanding and education around health and lifestyle. The event will be in person, as well as streamed live via Zoom in an effort to reach as broad an audience as possible.
There will also be a public health fair component with various information booths and free services for people.

The PSCHF will be held in coordination with the 26th Annual PALCUS Leadership Awards Gala, which will take place the following day on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Charles Hotel in Cambridge, MA. This year, we are honored to have MA State Senators Marc Pacheco and Michael Rodrigues as Honorary Gala Co-Chairs. The Gala is our flagship event.
