The phrase “organizing is the soul of this work” is seen repeatedly in writings from Stacey Abrams to twitter feeds. Her ‘this’ pertains both to human rights policies and to grassroots activism. So too was the organizational work for WILPF US virtual Congress 2021. Be sure to check out the article on organizing the Congress 2021: “Reflections on our soul work – 34th Triennial Congress” in the upcoming Peace & Freedom magazine.

“Many sessions presented speakers who seemed authentic and informed… because they had grappled with their experiences over long periods…”
—Tucson Branch member (from post-Congress Survey)
“I'm glad the Congress took place over two weekends. Sometimes the density made it feel a bit overwhelming, but now that we have the recordings, we can reinvestigate them and learn from them.”
—Tucson Branch member (from post-Congress Survey)
Another phrase, this time from Abram’s book, Our Time Is Now, continued to resonate throughout our organizing for the Congress: “make it happen”! With your donation, together we can MAKE IT HAPPEN – policy-making, on the street activism, and putting women’s rights in the forefront of all social justice issues.
