The New York area is bracing for severe weather tonight due to an incoming Nor'easter in the region. The storm is expected to begin around rush hour this evening.
We can expect between two and three inches of rain, strong winds, and coastal flooding. With autumn upon us, and many trees still with leaves, there is a higher risk for fallen limbs and power outages than during other times of the year. Our Public Works staff and first responders are keeping an eye on the weather and preparing their trucks and equipment in case the predictions materialize.
