One of the greatest strengths of Academy of Holy Names has always been its people. We’re excited to welcome a new member to our faculty and staff community, our new Director of Marketing & Communications, Mrs. Lauren LaPoint.
With her experience, expertise, and commitment to our mission, we know she will make a meaningful impact on our students and school community. Please join us in giving her a warm Holy Names welcome!

Mrs. Lauren LaPoint,
Director of Marketing & Communications
We are pleased to welcome Mrs. Lauren LaPoint as our new Director of Marketing & Communications. With nearly a decade of experience in the communications and marketing industry, Mrs. LaPoint brings experience in public and media relations, social media and website management, strategic communications, and digital marketing. Mrs. LaPoint holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from The College of Saint Rose. Her professional experience has given her a broad understanding of how to build lasting connections, strengthen organizations, and tell stories that resonate with a community.
| | | Starting Off The School Year Strong! | | |
What a wonderful start to the school year at Holy Names! Our first two weeks have been filled with community, connection, and plenty of Panther Pride. Athletics have kicked off strong, students enjoyed a special visit from therapy dogs, and the Activities Fair gave students the chance to learn about the many clubs and groups they can join.
We also gathered for our Mass of the Holy Spirit, where we prayed for our students’ studies, blessed the senior class, and presented our seniors with their senior shirts. The lower grades helped celebrate the occasion by decorating the seniors’ homerooms and providing cookies.
A special thank-you to our Middle School parents who donated supplies for recess! Recess is an important part of the Middle School day, and students can now enjoy jumping rope, sidewalk chalk art, volleyball, and so much more.
