Holiday Treasure Market is NEXT WEEKEND!
We still need help with the following...
- Please feel free to invite everyone to the Holiday Treasure Market. Postcards are available at the info table.
-
If you have items to donate (used or new handmade things, books & baked goods), be sure to bring them to the church on November 12 or 13 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Market questions? Please contact Janet Ray auntray88@gmail.com. Thanks!
What Does "Thrift" Mean?
For the market, we are receiving questions as to what it means when it says, "thrift." Think about what you might see at a thrift store or a garage sale. Items such as:
puzzles, games, bikes, vases, planters, glassware, dishes, decor, holiday items, books, pictures/artwork, linens, bedding, yard items, sports equipment, purses, backpacks, luggage, lamps, housewares, pet items, picture frames, office supplies, silk flowers, hats, shoes, purses, jewelry, DVD/CD/VHS/records etc.
All of those would be helpful donations for the market. Remember, all proceeds from the market help HPPC Mission Projects. This is a church-wide event, and every little bit helps.
All donated items must be clean, non-smoking, and free from rips, tears or stains. No clothes or large furniture please. All unsold kids items, vintage and thrift items will be donated at the end of the market. Unsold hand-made items, crafts and baked goods can be picked up by arrangement with Janet Ray.
THANK YOU HPPC!

Top of the Hill - NEXT Tuesday, November 10
This month, we’ll hear from Sabrina Votava, Executive Director of FailSafe for Life. While earning her undergraduate degree, two of Sabrina’s brothers died by suicide just six months apart. It was then that she made a commitment to working in the field of mental health and suicide prevention. Sabrina is an educator on suicide prevention and intervention who has worked with hundreds of individuals and organizations around the country to help them recognize the signs of suicide and to give them the tools and resources to keep a person in a mental health emergency safe. She is a licensed mental health counselor, certified as a QPR Senior Master Trainer and ASIST Master Trainer, and is the creator of FailSafe for Life’s various trainings. RSVP by this Sunday by signing up on the clipboard at the information center, replying to this email, or by calling the church office 509.448.2909. A suggested $10 donation covers the cost of lunch. In Case You Missed the Congregational Meeting...
At the congregational meeting on September 6, we elected our Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) who will be responsible for the next steps in our pastor search. Committee members are Curt Craig, Ione Felgenhauer, Kyle Ham, Kay Steinhilber, and Amber Wagenblast. Please hold this group in your prayers as they work to discern who God is calling to lead HPPC into the future!
