Washington Market Park's paving, drainage and lawn renovation begins today!
The NYC Parks Department estimates that work will be completed by mid-August, depending on weather and construction conditions.
We will share project updates here as well as progress photos on Instagram @WashingtonMarketPark.
The NYC Parks Department developed the project and will be managing the work. The scope will include new paths throughout the park, enhanced drainage, a new lawn and new park benches. Funding was provided by Councilmember Christopher Marte, the NYC Parks Department and The Friends of Washington Market Park.
