BGS TEAMS IN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The BruceGreySimcoe region will be well represented in the national finals of the PGA Scramble in Cape Breton. The championship gets under way later this week with two teams with connections to Duntroon Highlands Golf Club near Collingwood and one from The Club at Bond Head near Beeton competing. One of the Duntroon teams (photo above) includes Jesse Doughty, Blake Wilson, Jace Metheral, and Jeremy McEachern and Jake Torrieri, a pro from Osprey Valley Golf Club who was added to the team because there was no pro available from the site where they qualified (Cranberry).

This team that originally won the local qualifier at Duntroon Highlands Golf Club near Collingwood has advanced to the national finals of the PGA Scramble. They won the Wooden Sticks regional qualifier to advance to the finals. The team includes Duntroon Golf Academy Director Gary Jeffrey, (far right) Gwen Dymond, Luke McConville, Malinda Pilgrim and Cameron Dymond. The other local team competing in the finals is from The Club at Bond Head and team members are pro Tyler Smokler, Tyler Reonegro, David Dischiavi, Mark Diloreto and Michael Asta.
